WWLHMD?
That is a question I find myself asking, but wishing I wasn't. I really believe that if LHM was still alive, this whole mess would have been sorted out by now. I think we already know how he feels about this situation when he said that BOOzer's comment after a Nets game was one of the top ten stupidest things said by an NBA player. There have been a lot of NBA players and a LOT of stupid things said. LHM knew that BOOz had already backed himself into a corner.
One does have to wonder just how much of this is actually driven by BOOz. Carlos seems like a smart enough guy but just turns dumb when it comes to contracts. Maybe this is really driven by somebody else. Maybe it is his wife. In an attempt to reconcile an announced divorce he is doing everything he can to get his wife out of Utah. Maybe she hates the area so much that she has given him an ultimatum and it forced his hand earlier than he wanted to. I think this is a real possibility. He left Cleveland to get paid and he is going to leave Utah because they don't like it here. He ran to Utah because they were offering the most money. The decision now might have more to do with personal opinions than it does money.
I'm just not really sure how he thought that opting back in and basically demading a trade would be a good idea. I'm sure he had discussions with teams around the league and found that he wasn't getting the offers he thought he might. He knew that he would have to play another year and show everybody that he is the 20/10 guy he has been in the past. He just better show that he is a 75+ game a year guy if he wants to get paid.
The Jazz are in a very difficult spot here. They can't take much of anything back in trade because we don't want to take on any long term contracts. I just hope that this distraction doesn't cause much of an issue in the lockerroom.

I tried - I really did
Spending part of my time attending the University of Maryland at College Park I did my best to hold back dislike for all things Duke. Luckily, Boozer's fans cheered for him the same way his detractors did. One never could really tell how the crowd thought about this man.
I followed the NBA on and off when Carlos came over from Cleveland. It was too big of a sports story for someone like myself to miss. I remember thinking that both the Cavs and Boozer deserved each other. Unfortunately, my NBA team-to-be would be the ones to sign him.
Viewing this as somewhat of an outsider has been interesting. I believe that the current Utah Jazz fans have had great teams with great players. This is in no doubt because of the work the Larry H Miller family has put into the team. The fans are used to the John Stockton and Karl Malone type players who are there for them every game. They do everything they can to get back on the court if they get hurt. They play hurt. This is not what people saw with Boozer.
Maybe it was because expectations for this past season started so high that the fans completely turned on Boozer. Maybe if we hadn't seen the determination of his fellow Olympian and All-star to be Deron Williams to get back on the court as soon as possible. Maybe if we hadn't seen the passing of Larry H Miller. Maybe it was a combination of all of these things that led to it.
One of the reasons I created this blog was because of Boozer's phone-in interviews on Miami and Chicago sport stations. He makes it sound like there was nobody here to play with or that he couldn't achieve his goals here. I think we have found out that all he really wants is money. Accolades don't matter. I think his ego took a hit when he was last man off the bench in the Olympics.

Boo Boozer
As a Jazz Season Ticket holder and Jazz fan, I've finally had enough of the BS that Carlos Boozer is saying this summer. It's gone on too long and I can't feel sorry for him at all. This blog will chronicle the seemingly daily updates of Boozer sticking his over-sized foot in his mouth.
